‘Sunlight Through the Trees’ Print

Take a stroll along the South West Coast Path between Appledore and Bideford, pass through a kissing gate and detour through a steep wooded copse – this is the peaceful view you’ll see. A tranquil patch of North Devon, it is carpeted with grass and studded with a collection of trees of different species.

When the sun shines, the light passes gently between the leaves, casting soft shadows onto the woodland floor below. In autumn, horse chestnuts can be found littering the ground, while sycamore leaves become tiny helicopters to distract children from the steep hill they’re climbing.

This print is taken from my watercolour painting. It’s a lovely way to remind yourself of this special place, or it makes a great gift for people who love the coast.
