Set on the North Coast of Devon, Westward Ho! is perfectly positioned for dazzling sunsets and evenings drenched in warm, beautiful light. Just as the sun slips below the horizon, the sky comes alive with a riot of colour, reflecting off the buildings and captured in the rock pools on the beach.

I took the reference photo for this painting on a lovely warm evening, barefoot on the warm sand, enjoying the last of the light as it bathed the happy sunkissed beachgoers. I hope it brings you happy memories too!
