Watercolour Workshop at North Devon Yacht Club

Thursday 27th March | 10.00am – 12.30pm

Venue:  North Devon Yacht Club, Marine Parade, Instow, Bideford EX39 4HW

Join me for a relaxing and creative watercolour workshop, painting the beautiful view from North Devon Yacht Club.

This hands-on workshop is designed to guide you through a watercolour painting of the view from the Yacht Club from beginning to end, in a friendly and supportive environment. Simply come along, enjoy the scenic setting, and let your creativity flow.

Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or looking to refine your skills, this workshop offers something for everyone.

You’ll learn a variety of watercolour techniques, from mastering washes to creating texture and depth.

By the end of the session, you’ll have completed your own beautiful painting of Instow to take home, along with new skills and confidence to continue your artistic journey.

Refreshments will be available to buy from the Yacht Club bar, or why not stay for lunch afterwards? Pasty, pies and pizza’s will be available until 2pm.

• All materials provided – £25
• I’ll bring my own materials – £18

Suggested kit list for those bringing their own materials:

• Watercolour palette (I teach using pans, rather than tubes)
• Mixing palette
• Pencil (HB, B or 2B ideally)
• Watercolour brushes – including one larger brush (the thickness of your finger will be fine!) and one smaller brush for details
• Watercolour paper (ideally stretched on a board, or on a tear off block to prevent wrinkling when wet)
• Kitchen roll or rag for blotting
• Scrap watercolour paper for testing colours
