Sketchbook Making & Floral Painting

Wednesday 11th December 2024 | 10.00am – 12.30pm (plus time in cafe after) | Appledore

Venue: The Yard, 5 Market Street, Appledore, EX39 1PW

Join local artist/illustrator, Clare Willcocks, for a relaxed art workshop in the village of Appledore. This is a chance to relax, get creative and meet other people in cosy surroundings.

We will be making a simple concertina sketchbook, which we will fill with watercolour florals, using a variety of playful techniques. Clare will guide you step by step to create some beautiful, colourful illustrations. We will end the session with a drink and a piece of cake (complimentary up to the value of £5 – please advise if dietary requirements when booking). An optional charcuterie platter can be ordered for £12.50. PLEASE ADVISE ME IF YOU’D LIKE THIS IN THE NOTES SECTION WHEN YOU BOOK – PREORDER IS ESSENTIAL. Extra hot and cold drinks will be available to purchase on the day.

We will be using watercolour and a few other bits and pieces, all of which will be supplied. No experience is necessary!

Please note, the food/drink part of the session will be at the end of the session at 12.30pm, so bear this in mind if you are planning transport/parking/other activities.

This workshop is running in conjunction with TTVS (Torridge Voluntary Services), funded by Creative Lives. The sketch walk is being offered free, to support those who are isolated, lonely or suffering with their mental health to have an opportunity to join in a workshop that improves their wellbeing, meet like-minded people and have a go at something new.
