Discover the charm of Appledore through art on this guided watercolour sketchwalk.
Join me for a relaxing and inspiring stroll through the picturesque village of Appledore, where you’ll learn how to capture the beauty of your surroundings with pen, pencil and watercolour. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced artist, this session offers a fun and friendly opportunity to develop your sketching and watercolour skills.

Meeting Point: Bus stop opposite The Seagate Hotel, Appledore – see on a map
Duration: Approx. 2.5 hours
Summary: Gentle walking pace with regular stops to sketch
What to Expect
A guided sketchwalk around the scenic village and seafront of Appledore
Mini exercises focused on composition, line drawing, and watercolour techniques
Tips and tricks for quick on-location sketching
Full art kit provided (just bring yourself and your creativity)
Friendly guidance throughout, with plenty of time to enjoy the process
What to Bring
A camping chair if you have one (optional)
(There are benches and walls to perch on if not)
Weather-appropriate clothing
(Sun hat and sunscreen if sunny, waterproofs and umbrella if wet)
A sense of curiosity and a love for art
Weather & Accessibility
The sketchwalk will go ahead unless there is heavy rain
Please note: The route includes uneven paths, steps, and loose stones, including access to the beach, which may be challenging for those with limited mobility
Please also note: If the workshop is cancelled by myself, a full refund will be issued. In the event you are unable to attend yourself, please let me know. I will issue a full refund if the place can be re-allocated to someone else, or at my discretion. Please keep an eye on your emails (including junk folder!) as I will get in touch with a change of plan if necessary.
